Prosthodontics
This is the branch of dentistry that deals with mouth restoration.
This goes from the simple crown to the bridge with three or more elements to the reconstruction of either one or both dental arches.
The prosthetic appliances are generally made of a metallic body, based on an expensive alloy of gold and platinum, and of an esthetic white coating, based on resin and porcelain.
However, crowns in resin can also be used, which are generally applied temporarily, or made of porcelain that, although highly esthetic, are much more fragile.
